Without wishing to sound like a doom-monger, it has long been our view at A4G that the so-called credit crunch / banking crisis is really only a prelude to an inevitable and deep recession. For our practice, we have worked incredibly hard all Summer to prepare ourselves for the tough times that lie ahead. Preparing A4G has included making sure that we are ready to advise all our clients on what they need to do to survive and perhaps even thrive over the coming two or three years.

With this in mind, I am sending out our fortnightly newsletter a week early enclosing our “tough times checklist” for all our clients and friends. In putting it all together, I would like to thank Robin Nye of Barncourt HR and Isobel Brett of KSA insolvency practitioners for their input.

Clearly things are going to be very tough indeed, possibly far tougher than the recession that those of us over the age of 35 experienced from 1990 to 1994 when I qualified and started to build up my client base in the Medway towns. Whatever it does throw at you and your business though, please remember that we are here to help and with the network of other professionals that we work with, if we don’t know the answer, we will probably know a man (or woman) who does. You will undoubtedly need to make all sorts of decisions and we want to be there to help you make the right ones.
