If you are a landlord, it is possible for you to claim a special one off tax-allowance of up to £1,500 per property. This payment allows you immediate tax relief for your expenses on energy-saving insulation.
The installation of loft, wall or hot water system insulation is all included within this allowance, which must be claimed before 6th April 2009.

| Remote working – are you covered? |

According to figures found in the latest labour force survey conducted by the Office for National statistics more than 3.4 million people – 12 per cent of the working population regularly or permanently work from home.
