With all news concentrated on the changes to Capital Gains Tax recently, the penalties for late CIS monthly returns have quietly swung into action on 19th October.

If you have not submitted all of your monthly returns, you will now receive a minimum penalty of £100 for each monthly return not filed.

It is widely understood that the most tax efficient way to hold commercial property is within a special type of pension fund known as a SIPP or a SSAS.
