Help for those struggling with tax bills, where to invest in the current climate and identifying your REAL Breakeven Point

Help for those struggling with tax bills

For any business or individual struggling to pay an income tax, corporation tax, PAYE, National Insurance or VAT bill, or if you anticipate that you will struggle to settle an impending bill which is not quite due just yet, the new Business Payment Support Line created by HM Revenue & Customs may be of help.

Their helpline number of 0845 302 1435 is open Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm and weekends 8am to 4pm.

The helpline staff will need to know details of the tax payment you are struggling to pay and your reference number.  They will then review your individual circumstances and will ask a few questions about your spare cash each month to clarify if you are having genuine difficulty paying and if so are able to negotiate a payment plan.

Where to invest in the current climate

With interest rates continuing to drop, our sister company A4G Wealth Management are spending a lot of time advising clients on investments that provide a regular income and better rates than the bank or building society and particularly educating clients on the often misunderstood area of bonds.

This issue will be covered in our morning seminar – “Where to invest in the current climate”. The seminar will take place on Thursday 5th March in our boardroom starting at 7.45am for 8am sharp with tea / coffee and bacon rolls provided with an aim to finish by 9am. Places are limited to a maximum of ten, so if you would like to come along please book your place by emailing jenny@a4gsolutions.co.uk

Identifying your REAL breakeven point

I stumbled across a fascinating fact last week. A large number of top PLCs are working together on a project that will enable them to have daily profit and loss accounts for their business accessible over the Internet by all key decision-makers. Perhaps more than ever before, it is crucial that reliable and relevant management information is available promptly.

There is clearly a huge amount of fear around at the moment and perhaps a certain amount of panic as well as owner-managers struggle to come to terms with the new economic reality of the industries they are in. Crucial to the decision-making process is being able to identify what your REAL break-even point is and be able to compare to actual performance regularly.

To help with this, we are offering a free seminar is aimed specifically at those who are concerned what the future holds for them. The contents of the seminar include:

  1. How to calculate your REAL break-even point for the year including a new way of accounting for dividends
  2. The impact of pricing on your break-even point
  3. The impact of tax on your break-even point
  4. How to identify in 5 minutes whether you are going to run into a future cash flow
  5. What to do if you identify a problem

The seminar will take place on Thursday 26th February in our boardroom starting at 7.45 for 8am sharp with tea / coffee and bacon rolls provided with an aim to finish by 9am. Places are limited to a maximum of ten, so if you would like to come along please book your place by emailing jenny@a4gsolutions.co.uk
