Our free weekly seminars have become hugely successful. We focus on the current issues businesses and professionals feel they need the most help with in this economic climate. Attendees have found them to be not only informative and enjoyable, but they have also been able to network with like minded businesses.
We have recently made some changes to the seminar timetable previously advertised. The next seminars are:
Thursday 10th September – Thinking about Redundancies?
By Asghar Jeraj for Judge & Priestley
Need to cut down on your staffing overhead but don't know whether it's the right thing to do or how to do it?
This is a problem faced by many in the dark days of this recession. In order to answer the question, one will have to determine whether they have a redundancy situation. Once they have done so they will then have to work their way through the minefield of law and procedure that is required to dismiss for reasons of redundancy without any comeback.
This seminar will provide a useful guidance on the do's and don'ts of redundancy.
Thursday 17th September – The trouble with Dividends
By Wes Mason Partner of A4G Solutions
As part of the process of cracking down on tax avoidance, HMRC are implementing new tighter rules regarding the voting and payment of dividends from limited companies, which requires further compliance to be undertaken to ensure successful planning and the avoidance of unnecessary tax liabilities.
This session will run through the new compliance processes that we would advise all clients with limited companies undertake, where we can help, and ways in which you can comply with the new regulations whilst still achieving maximum tax efficiency.
Thursday 24th September - Why no one should trade through a limited company in this economic climate
By Wes Mason ACA – Partner of A4G Solutions
Did you know, research suggests that over 87% of businesses in the UK are not set up in the most tax efficient manner?
We will explain to you the savings that can be made by moving your business away from the traditional limited company or self-employed structures. All forums take you through the ideas step by step and our presenters will be happy to answer your questions as and when they arise.

Thursday 15th October – Using Computerised Records for the first time
By Matt Finch ACCA – Sage Specialist of A4G Solutions
Do you manually keep your accounting records? Have you ever wondered what the benefits are of using a computerised system instead? A computerised system can:
- Make it quicker to process your invoices
- Help you keep track of who owes you money and how much.
- Give you a good idea of your profit and sales figures
- Help you reconcile the important things, like your bank account
Converting to a new way of doing things can be a daunting task, let alone learning how to use a new piece of computer software.
At A4G we provide three training courses, the courses we run are designed around Sage, the most widely used computerised accounts package.
During the first breakfast seminar we will be showing how to start the process of computerising using Sage in a way that will set you off in a way that will maximise the benefits to your business.

Thursday 29th October – Is your computerised accounts system still giving you a headache?
By Matthew Finch ACCA – Sage Specialist of A4G Solutions

This seminar is designed for those who have recently computerised their accounting system or are relatively new to using one. It will cover the key controls that you need to keep on a weekly or monthly basis to ensure that your records are accurate and reliable and will take you through to the preparation of a VAT return.
